Mesenchymal stem cells

Mesenchymal stem cells are multipotent stem cells which can differentiate into a variety of cell types. Mesenchymal stem cells are found less in tissues and it can be proliferated by in vitro methods. These stem cells are used for research and therapeutic applications. These are potentially suitable for tissue engineering. Mesenchymal stem cells are long and thin in their size. It contains prominent nucleolus which is surrounded by chromatin particles. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are fibroblast-like cells which are able to self-renew and differentiate into bone, adipose and cartilage tissue. They are helping for enormous therapeutic potential for tissue repair. MSCs will be regenerated to bone, cartilage, muscle, ligament, tendon, and adipose.
